【Process Principle】
Adopting lime-gypsum desulfurization process with lime slurry as absorbent to capture sulfur dioxide from smelting flue gas. Air is blown into the slurry circulation tank for forced oxidation, finally producing gypsum as by-product. The process is safe and reliable without scaling or blockage issues.
【Main Reactions】
● SO₂ absorption: SO₂ + H₂O ←→ H⁺ + HSO₃⁻
● Lime dissolution: CaO + H₂O ←→ Ca²⁺ + 2OH⁻
● Forced oxidation: SO₃²⁻ + 1/2O₂ ←→ SO₄²⁻
● Gypsum formation: Ca²⁺ + SO₄²⁻ + 2H₂O ←→ CaSO₄·2H₂O
